Server for Patient Data, Options:
- Local server in practice.
- Virtual machine can be server if IT supported. (contact us for specs.)
- Hosted at data center outside of practice.
- Check hardware specs based on number of providers
Fax/Box Server
- Stand alone PC/server for electronic faxing.
- Dedicated analog fax line. (no line sharing with credit card, manual fax, voice, etc.)
- Mainline modem card.
Workstation Computers
- Current Windows operating system. Business or Professional version (not Home)
- MS Office required for some stations. MS Word required for users who want eClinicalWorks' letters. Excel required for billers and customized reports.
- Check hardware specs for adequate memory and specs.
Tablet PC
- Current Windows Tablet operating system. Business or Professional version (not Home)
- MS Office required for some stations. MS Word required for users who want eClinicalWorks' letters.
- Check hardware specs for adequate memory and specs.
- Choose slate style (no keyboard attached) or combination (keyboard attached). User preference.
- Integrated wireless / Wi-Fi.
- Spare Battery and Charger highly recommended.
Peripherals
- Laser Printers (network ready). All in one devices can NOT be used as scanner or fax but can be a printer.
- Scanner (TWAIN compatible); Front desk scanner must be connected local to front PC.
- Router/Firewall at discretion of local IT technician. Must provide secure encrypted connections.
- Wireless Access Point, such as Cisco Aironet 1200 or above.
- Web Cam for patient pictures; recommended
